Egypt close to producing world’s most advanced artillery systems
Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Suleiman Gomblatt, conducted an inspection tour of the armored vehicle production and repair plant (Military Factory 200) to monitor the manufacturing process of these highly advanced defense systems.
Gomblatt began his tour of the factory by inspecting the K9A1EGY howitzer production line.
He also inspected the factory’s testing track, where he reviewed the progress of contracts and discussed the completion of the first phase of manufacturing and the commencement of the second phase, which will see an increase in locally sourced components.
Gomblatt also reviewed the final preparations for the delivery of the first K9A1EGY battalion to the armed forces.
Following this, the minister visited Abu Zaabal Engineering Industries Company (Military Factory 100), and inspected the workshops producing the K9A1EGY cannon.
He then reviewed the progress made in implementing the orders he issued during his previous visit to the company in February.
