April to see 11 days off for Egypt’s private sector employees

Employees working in the private sector will receive 11 days of leave for April, including the weekends on Friday and Saturday.

The duration of the Eid al-Fitr holiday varies according to the sighting of the Shawwal crescent, and the decision of the Cabinet regarding any other official holidays during April.


Al-Masry Al-Youm has monitored the dates of Eid al-Fitr vacation and other holidays and official holidays for employees and workers in the public and private sectors:


1-Friday, April 5th, weekend.
2-Saturday, April 6, weekend.
3 -Wednesday, April 10, the first day of Eid al-Fitr
4- Thursday, April 11, holiday, the second day of Eid al-Fitr
5-Friday, April 12, holiday, the third day of Eid al-Fitr
6-Saturday, April 13, weekend.
7-Friday, April 19, weekend.
8-Saturday, April 20, weekend.
9-Thursday, April 25, Sinai Liberation Day.
10-Friday, April 26, weekend.
11-Saturday, April 27, weekend.
