Telecom Egypt, Huawei to boost cooperation in digital transformation

Telecom Egypt and Huawei Egypt inked a cooperation agreement to foster cooperation in digital transformation, Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) stated on March 2nd.


The cooperation agreement was signed by Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt Adel Hamed and CEO of Huawei Egypt Jim Liu, in the presence of Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat.


This came on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 event, held in Barcelona, Spain.


At the end of the minister’s participation in the MWC, Talaat held a series of meetings with officials from a number of major international technology firms to discuss available investment opportunities in the sector and means to enhance cooperation in related fields.
