While no official reason has been given as to why Metrojet flight 9268 disintegrated over the Sinai Peninsula October 31, killing all 224 people aboard, both UK and US authorities have said there are strong indications that it was caused by an explosion on board the aircraft.
French multinational Thales Group designs and builds electrical systems and provides integrated security solutions for a number of airports around the world, including Dubai, Doha, Muscat International Airport and Salalah's new airport.
Speaking to Arabian Business at the Dubai Airshow, company CEO Patrice Caine said the incident had an obvious, but “unfortunate knock-on effect of providing more business for Thales.
