The Saudi Minister of Finance emphasized that his country – along with other Arab countries and international institutions – is going to help support the Arab Spring countries (Egypt, Libya and Tunisia) financially, the official Middle East News Agency reported on Sunday.
Donors are going to give these countries $38 billion.
Ibrahim el-Assaf told a Saudi newspaper on Sunday that the Douville summit, recently held in France and attended by the donors and the representatives of the Arab Spring countries, allocated $38 billion to Egypt, Libya and Tunisia.
He stressed that the donors include international financial institutions and some Arab countries, along with regional financial institutions, including the Arab Monetary Fund and the Islamic Development Bank.
