Judiciary calls for nationalization of Omar Affendi

The administrative judiciary declined the appeal by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and compelled the government to execute the sentence against Omar Affendi Company issued last June. The state should retrieve all assets, branches and properties of the company without any debts or mortgages.

The sale contract of 90 percent of Omar Affendi Company stocks to Gamel al-Kanbeet and sale contract of 5 percent of the company\'s capital to the IFC were considered invalid.

The IFC appealed to abolish this sentence since the administrative judiciary is not concerned with this case because Omar Affendi contract is considered a civil contract.
