Egypt woos investors
The Egyptian government will open up new avenues for investors from both public and private sectors and will further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Egypt and the UAE, said Egyptian prime minister ?Essam Sharaf.
He assured investors from the sectors that the transition period in Egypt will never affect the rights of investors. Sharaf held a meeting with Dr Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and investors from the UAE\'s public and private sectors at the Emirates Palace on Monday evening. He noted that this meeting would open up a new era of cooperation between both countries.
Sharaf and Dr Gargash discussed series of issues to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Egypt.
The delegation accompanying the prime minister included Mohammed Al Araabi, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sameer Rizwan, Minister of Finance; Faiza Abu Al Naja, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation; Osama Saleh from the Chief Investment Authority of Egypt; and high level officials from these ministries.
The prime minister assured the investors that the new administration will step up measures to further facilitate public and private sector firms which are willing to invest in Egypt and those who had already invested there. \"My visit to the UAE is very significant for furthering issues of mutual interest of both countries,\" he said.
