Egypt needs to focus on tourism
The World Travel Awards have announced that tourism will be crucial for Egypt as it develops in to a democracy. The country will be having elections in November and the country will see changes developing. With tourism providing one in eight jobs in the country, it will still have a vital role to play as the country moves forward. At the moment Egypt is still finding things quite quiet, with many having been put off visiting the country because of the unrest that was going on there.
The World Travel Awards have advised that if anyone wants to see the country, then now could be a good time to do so, because it is still quite quiet. On the 16th September things will busy up with the World Travel Awards ceremony for its African and Indian section being hosted in Sharm El Sheikh. It is the first of these ceremonies to be help in the country and it will take place in a luxury entertainment area. It is expected that travel and tourism brands from across the continent will attend.
It has been predicted by the president of the World Travel Awards, Graham Cooke, that Egypt will bounce back soon as it has so much to offer tourists. With its Pyramids of Giza and temples of Luxor as well as the Red Sea diving and the beaches near Sharm El Sheikh, it is a very attractive place to visit and is bound to draw people to soon start coming back.
