Egypt banks to close starting Tuesday for Eid

Egypt’s central bank announced Thursday that banks will be closed for three days starting Tuesday 30 August and reopening the following Sunday, 4 September, on the occasion of Eid El-Fitr, the celebratory feast that follows the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The stock market and other financial institutions will also be closed for the same period.
