Ambassador: US supports Egypt politically, economically

Prime Minister Essam Sharaf met Sunday 28/8/2011 with US Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson, who conveyed a message of appreciation from US President Barack Obama and State Secretary Hillary Clinton to Egypt and its people.

The US is keen to support Egypt, the center of stability in the Middle East, economically and politically in such a critical phase, Patterson said.

The meeting took up regional and international issues, including the latest Palestinian developments and the situation in Libya and Syria.

The two sides also reviewed means of encouraging US investments in Egypt.
