Egypt, WIPO discuss intellectual property cooperation

Head of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EIPA) Hisham Azmi met Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Daren Tang in Geneva to discuss cooperation in intellectual property.

The meeting reviewed progress on Egypt’s national intellectual property strategy and joint projects with WIPO to support innovation.

During the talks, they also discussed ways of enhancing cooperation in digital transformation, capacity building, and the use of artificial intelligence in intellectual property services.

Tang said that WIPO will continue providing technical and logistical support to Egypt and noted progress in developing its intellectual property system.
