Kyuden expands into Egypt with 1 GW solar

Japan based Kyuden International, the overseas business arm of the Kyuden Group, has announced its first expansion into North Africa with a solar and battery storage project in Egypt. The project is being developed in partnership with AMEA Power. International Finance Corporation (IFC) and other global financial institutions are supporting the development. The project includes 1 GW of solar capacity. It will also integrate a 600 MWh battery energy storage system. The development marks Kyuden International’s entry into the Egyptian energy market. The project supports Egypt’s growing solar and storage deployment.
