Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the signing of the largest spectrum deal in Egypt’s telecommunications history, marking a significant milestone since the introduction of mobile services in the country.

This groundbreaking deal includes new spectrum allocations for Egypt’s four mobile operators, totaling 410 MHz, with an estimated value of $3.5 billion. The newly allocated spectrum is equivalent to the entire spectrum that has been assigned to mobile operators since the launch of mobile services in Egypt.

The deal is part of the 2026–2030 National Spectrum Strategy, representing a transformative shift in the management and utilization of spectrum resources. It aims to strengthen telecommunications infrastructure, enhance the quality of services provided to citizens, and improve the delivery of fifth-generation (5G) services.

Additionally, the new allocations are expected to enhance market competitiveness, boost network readiness for digital transformation, and meet the evolving needs of users with greater efficiency and quality. This move also underscores the state's ongoing efforts to regulate and expand Egypt’s telecommunications sector in alignment with global technological advancements.
