Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly highlighted the unprecedented progress Egypt achieved in localizing food industries and processing agricultural crops.

He pointed to the ongoing efforts to attract both domestic and foreign investments, which boost the country’s export capacity, improve its competitiveness in global markets, and create more job opportunities across various governorates.

The remarks came during Madbouly’s visit on Saturday 31/1/2026 to the industrial zone in Minya, where Madbouly and his accompanying delegation inspected the United Company for Drying Agricultural Crops (UD Crops).

This visit is part of his extended tour in the governorate to stand on several service and development projects.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel-al Wazir said that Minya governorate is distinguished by the availability of raw materials and promising investment opportunities in the food industry, particularly in exporting dried agricultural products.

He asserted the state’s commitment to promoting these industries to enhance the value of these products.
