Egypt to Launch 9 Investment Opportunities in Galala City for Global Investors

Galala City 

The President of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Mr Hossam Heiba, and the Assistant Head of the Armed Forces Land Projects Agency (AFLPA) conducted an inspection tour of projects in Galala City. The intention of this tour is to finalize the promotional plan for investment opportunities in the city.

Spanning 17,150 acres, ranging from sea level up to 800 meters in elevation, Galala City is interconnected by mountain roads and a continuous cable car system.  Furthermore, the city offers a diverse climate and environment, and a geographical setting with panoramic views of the Red Sea.

Investment Opportunities

The Galala City Projects official stated that the state fulfilled its role by developing the city. It also prepared it to receive private investments. Furthermore, the business community’s role is now to develop and operate projects to ensure sustainable development.

The state has completed a highly efficient infrastructure including roads, electricity, water networks, and sewage systems. It also includes major projects such as a hospital, a university, and employee housing. 

The nine investment opportunities listed on Egypt’s Investment Map include: 

• Yacht marina


• Coastal hotel


• Water Amusement Park


• Al Galala Hospital


• Luxury Residential District


• Downtown Avenue


• City’s main service corridor


• Two resorts (Resort 5 and Resort 7) 


• Al Galala Mountain Hotel on the summit of Galala Plateau


• The Royal Compound


• Al Galala Heights Resort. 

These investment opportunities are offered under several models. This includes public–private partnership (PPP), usufruct arrangements, ownership, management, and management.
