Government ministers and tech executives convened at Cairo’s historic Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace to officially launch AI Everything MEA Egypt 2026, an international AI conference hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and organised by GITEX GLOBAL in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

The main event, scheduled for February 11th to the 12th, 2026 at the National Conference and Exhibition Centre (NCIEC) in Cairo, will unite enterprises, investors, startups and policymakers from over 60 countries, marking one of the largest AI and technology gatherings in the region.

The launch event focused on aligning international expertise with Egypt’s National AI Strategy 2025–30, which aims to position Cairo as a leading hub for artificial intelligence and generate $42.7 billion annually from AI by 2030. Officials outlined national priorities that include improved computing access, data governance, talent development, AI-driven sector growth and public awareness initiatives.

The evening also featured a panel discussion on the future of AI in Egypt with representatives from IBM, HPE, Deloitte Innovation Hub, Widebot AI, Intella, and Plug & Play Tech Center, exploring ways to scale startups, deploy advanced AI systems, and strengthen public–private collaboration.
