Smart manufacturing key to Egypt sustainable industrial future
Manufacturing is one of five priority sectors Egypt aims to boost to raise real GDP growth to 7 percent by 2030.
The interview took place on Wednesday during Bou Chaaya’s visit to Egypt to explore cooperation opportunities in the local market.
During the interview, Bou Chaaya said the company is committed to supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 development agenda, emphasizing the role of advanced industrial technologies in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and promoting sustainability.
Aveva currently provides solutions for Egypt’s oil, gas, water, and smart cities sectors, with plans to expand into other areas soon.
He noted that Egypt accounts for nearly 10 percent of the company’s regional operations, with a target of reaching 20 percent in the coming years, driven by recent economic improvements.
He explained that Aveva’s portfolio covers the full lifecycle of industrial projects, from design and construction to operation and optimization, helping Egyptian manufacturers integrate sustainability and efficiency from the start.
