B.Laban pays LE140 mln in dues to the Egyptian Tax Authority

Government sources said that the Egyptian Tax Authority is continuing to study and examine the B.Laban Company’s tax file.

A member of the board of directors for the B.Laban Company, Abdel-Rahman Ashmawy, confirmed that his company paid LE140 million to the Egyptian Tax Authority.



During a telephone interview with TV host Lamis al-Hadidi on the“Last Word” (Kalema Akhera) TV show, on “ON” channel, Ashmawy said that “There are matters that have not yet been finalized and we are working on them, and they are still under discussion. Our company has paid taxes until 2023.”


Regarding the fines imposed on the company for health violations, Ashmawy said, “As for the fines related to violations, the figures are not large.”



Government sources said that the Egyptian Tax Authority is continuing to study and examine the B.Laban Company’s tax file, in preparation for determining the final dues within two weeks.


The sources, who spoke to Al-Masry Al-Youm on condition of anonymity, confirmed that B.Laban Company continues to file its tax returns regularly and pay the required tax differences.
