Egyptian Gov't keen to Overcome Challenges Facing Italian Companies, PM Says

PM Mostafa Madbouly met with Michele Quaroni, Italian Ambassador to Egypt and stressed the keenness to overcome all challenges facing Italian companies wishing to enter the field of investment in Egypt, and to benefit from the promising opportunities and incentives that are provided to investors, in the targeted sectors.

The meeting reviewed the progress achieved within the framework of implementing cooperation proposals in the agricultural sector, and ways to support Egypt’s food security, as well as discussing possibilities for cooperation to increase Egyptian exports of agricultural crops.

On his part, the Italian Ambassador to Cairo expressed his country's leadership's aspiration to visit Egypt, within the framework of building on areas of joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially the agriculture and food security sector, in addition to following up on the implementation of the agreements signed between the two sides in priority sectors for both countries.

The Italian ambassador also praised Egypt's tireless efforts to attract foreign direct investments, the latest of which was the success in concluding a deal to develop the city of Ras El Hekma, which represents a positive sign to overcome the current economic challenges and complete the Egyptian state's economic development plans.
