Egyptian soccer drama, El Hareefa, directed by Raouf El Sayed and featuring Nour El Nabawy in his first lead role, has made a significant impact on the Egyptian box office, accumulating a substantial EGP 37m ($1.20m) since its release on January 4, 2024.


The film has resonated strongly with audiences across Egypt, captivating viewers with its ensemble of rising stars, snappy dialogue, and themes centred around unwavering ambition and camaraderie.


El Hareefa follows the journey of Maged, a football player who finds himself at the crossroads of two worlds: the upper class he once belonged to and the lower class he has embraced due to changing circumstances, colliding with his friends who are professional football players.


Nour El Nabawy shares the screen with former professional footballer Ahmed Hossam Mido in his debut acting appearance, alongside Nour Ehab, Ahmed Ghozzi, Youssef Omar, Mahraganat singer Kozbara, Khaled Zahabi, and Selim El Turk.
