Telecom Egypt raises prepaid landline prices

Egypt’s giant telecom operator Telecom Egypt has raised the monthly prices of prepaid landlines by up to EGP 5.

The new landline prices, taking effect on 11 January, were released on the company’s website as follows.



  • The EGP 20 bundle has increased to EGP 25 (EGP 75 quarterly).

  • The EGP 35 bundle has increased to EGP 40 (EGP 120 quarterly).

  • The EGP 65 bundle has increased to EGP 70 (EGP 210 quarterly).


On 2 January, Telecom Egypt announced an increase in the prices of its landline internet plans by over 30 percent, with the new rates set to take effect from 5 January.


Telecom Egypt achieved a net profit of EGP 9.1 billion throughout the initial nine months of 2023, marking a 48 percent increase compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
