During her participation in a session titled 'Local 2030 Coalition' at the United Nations General Assembly meetings, Egypt's Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala al-Said announced that her country is committed to achieving the sustainable development goals. To this end, Egypt plans to establish a center in Cairo specifically for the purpose of achieving these goals. In addition, the Minister referred to the Decent Life presidential initiative, which aims to improve living conditions in rural areas. The initiative, she revealed, has already benefited 17 percent of Egypt's population residing in 1500 villages. In this way, Egypt is making a concerted effort to meet its developmental and sustainability targets.
