The Egyptian Ministry of Transport published a video of the Tahya Misr multi-purpose station in Alexandria Port, which was developed in Alexandria Port, and is now operating on an experimental basis.

 


For his part, the Minister of Transport, Eng. Kamel Al-Wazir, confirmed that the station is considered one of the most important projects implemented by the ministry in the field of maritime transport, as the station includes trading yards of half a million square meters, and is divided into 3 trading stations (containers - general goods - cars).

 

The station is capable of handling 12 to 15 million tons of merchandise annually and receiving from 6 to 7 ships with large tonnages at the same time.

 

The length of the station's berths is estimated at 2,450 linear meters, which qualifies the station to receive ships with large tonnages, as the maximum depth reaches 17.50 meters, adding that it is one of the main tributaries of the logistics station that was established behind the port, which contributes to raising the classification of Alexandria port, adding that it is expected that It employs an Egyptian workforce of more than 95%, which in turn provides about 1,500 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs.
