Egypt's Egas issues two new sell tenders

The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company, or Egas, has issued two new sell tenders, as weaker domestic demand continues to drive an export boost.

The other is for 155,000 cu m for Feb. 11-12 loading at Damietta. This tender closes Jan. 30.


Both tenders were confirmed by multiple market participants.


Egas issued sell tenders for around 54 LNG cargoes in 2022, up from around 26 in 2021, S&P Global Commodity Insights data showed. So far this year Egas has issued two other sell tenders.


Platts DES Mediterranean marker for March was assessed at $16.887/MMBtu Jan. 24, down $1.059 on the day.
