Egypt works on limiting population increase

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that every year the population increases, which puts pressure on all services, describing it as a burden.

Madbouly said in a press conference in Suez Governorate, that there is not even a developed or rich country that can deal with this huge amount of population increase, saying: We need a pause, like many countries that have done it, even for a period of time, we need to plan to aim to reduce population increase like other countries

He continued: We need to compensate for a previous period in which there was a need and accumulation. If we are able to reduce the population increase by a good number, it will relieve the burden on the state.

He also said “all my focus is on reducing the gap accumulated from years, and achieving complete sufficiency so that we as a country can feel a positive transition, the issue of population increase is very important and pivotal with the crises facing the world, it needs us to work hand in hand.”
