QBA holds meeting with Egypt trade minister

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea invited QBA members to visit Cairo and discuss investment opportunities and potential co-operation.

The Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) has organised a business lunch in honour of the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea and her accompanying delegation.
The meeting was also attended by Egypt’s ambassador to Qatar Amr el-Sherbiny; Minister of Trade Plenipotentiary Yahya al-Wathiq Billah, head of Commercial Representation; and Hatem al-Ashry, adviser to the Minister for Institutional Communication. The meeting discussed available incentives and investment opportunities.
From QBA, the meeting was attended by Chairman HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani; first deputy chairman Hussain Alfardan, and board members Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal al-Thani and Sherida al-Kaabi, as well as QBA members Sheikh Mohamed bin Faisal al-Thani, Sheikh Faisal bin Fahd al-Thani, Khalid al-Mannai, Nabil Abu Issa, and Ihsan al-Khaymi.
Gamea said the meeting confirmed the unprecedented support to boost economic and trade relations to distinguished levels. She invited QBA members to visit Cairo and discuss investment opportunities and potential co-operation. She also lauded the value of the existing investments of the Qatari private sector in different regions of Egypt.
The minister also reviewed Egypt’s experience in establishing and managing industrial complexes, which resulted in the rise of 17 industrial complexes in 15 governorates nationwide, comprising all productive sectors.
