Egypt’s PM Mostafa Madbouly welcomed on Monday the expansion of South Africa’s Vodacom Mobile Communications Company in Egypt in his meeting with CEO.

An offshoot of Vodafone Group, Vodacom acquired in November the group’s stake in Vodafone Egypt, comprising 55 percent of the company.


During the meeting which was attended by Egypt’s Minister of Telecommunications Amr Talaat, Telecomm Egypt (TE) CEO Adel Hamed, Vodafone Egypt CEO Mohamed Kamal, PM Madbouly stressed the importance of Vodacom’s plan to invest in Vodafone Egypt to achieve a quality service for citizens and to support the state’s digital transformation plane.


The Prime Minister also welcomed the contributions of Vodafone to the COP27 conference next November at Sharm El-Sheikh.
