Egypt secured $10.2 bln in development financing in 2021

These include over $8.75 billion for financing sovereign projects and $1.57 billion in support of the private sector

The ‘Engaging for Impact Towards Our Common Future: International Partnerships for Sustainable Development’ report also revealed that the portfolio of the international cooperation ministry in the area of official development assistance for financing Egypt’s sustainable development goals’ strategy (ODA-SDG) includes 372 projects in various sectors with a total value of $26.5 billion.


These are mostly being directed to achieve Goal 9 — Industry, innovation, and infrastructure — with a budget of $5.9 billion in development financing, constituting 22.3 percent of the total current portfolio.
