Egypt’s Plastics Industry Expo gathers over 300 firms

More than 300 plastics industry firms from over 20 countries gathered in Cairo to showcase their raw materials, machinery and semi-finished products.

The four-day expo, is an important exhibition for the plastics industry in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region. Dedicated to the plastic machinery, components, raw materials and chemicals in the Middle East, North Africa and East Africa, the fair also presents products and services, technologies and innovations, and trends for trade markets.


Held at the International Exhibition Center in Cairo, the fair is expected to attract some 22,000 professionals seeking business opportunities.


“PLASTEX has become an outstanding platform to meet with top decision makers and quality trade buyers from Egypt and other North and East African countries,” Emad Mubarak, an engineer from an Egyptian company selling imported machines in the plastics industry, told Xinhua.
