UNDP Regional Director for Arab States Khalida Bouzar stated that Fracassetti’s appointment underscores the importance the UNDP places in the partnership with Egypt and its commitment to support the country’s development to achieve Egypt’s 2030 Vision Agenda for Sustainable Development, foster resilience, and strive to leave no one behind.

For his part, Fracassetti said that he is delighted to join the UNDP’s team in Egypt, adding that the UNDP will continue to support the country’s national development priorities in key areas, such as climate action and environmental protection, inclusive growth, sustainable development goals’ policy advice, strategic innovation, and digital transformation.
