Egyptian Ahmed Osman named President of International Council for Small Business

Osman is the first Egyptian to hold the position.

Egyptian Ahmed Osman, named on Friday, the president of the International Council for Small Business’ (ICSB).

CSB Board of Directors is composed of more than 5,000 members, including academics, specialists in the fields of small and medium-sized industries, entrepreneurs, policy makers and representatives of various governments and countries.

The Council aims to develop strategies, research and financing initiatives to support developing countries. The Council has set up micro-finance initiatives for a number of countries including Brazil, Argentina and some Asian countries.

The Washington-headquartered council is the world’s largest international SME organisation dedicated to advancing small business and entrepreneurship.
