US dollar exchange rate surpasses LE18

he exchange rate of the US dollar continued to rise against the Egyptian pound on Wednesday, to surpass LE18, the highest rate since the flotation of the pound on November 3.

The dollar exchange rate in the four major Egyptian banks namely, National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Banque du Caire, and Commercial International Bank (CIB), reaching on Wednesday LE18.15 for buying, compared to LE18.10 by the end of Tuesday.

The average sale price at the four banks on Wednesday recorded LE18.40, compared to LE18.35 by the end of Tuesday.

In the CIB, the sale price for the US dollar reached LE18.60 on Wednesday morning.
