W Hotels to expand to Egypt

Starwood Hotels & Resorts will open the first W Hotels property in Egypt in 2020.

The W Sharm El Sheikh and The Residences at W Sharm El Sheikh will be located in the resort town of Sharm El Sheikh on Nabq Bay, a 20-minute drive from the airport.

The hotel will have 350 rooms and suites, two of which will be Extreme Wow suites, the brand's equivalent of a presidential suite.

Dining options will include one all-day venue, two speciality restaurants, a bar and a lounge.

Other amenities will include an outdoor pool deck and bar, spa, fitness centre and a tennis court.

There will also be a 24-hour business centre and 1,880 sqm of meeting and event space, including a great room and six studios for small meetings.

The Residences will be comprised of 50 branded apartments that have an exclusive lounge but will also have access to all of the facilities and services offered at the hotel.
