Mehleb visits France for economic cooperation discussions

Prime Minister’s first official visit to France tackled mutual interests.

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb visited France Monday, at the head of a high-level ministerial delegation at the invitation of French President Francois Hollande.

The purpose of Mehleb’s visit to the EU country is to discuss cooperation between Egypt and France.

A number of ministers, including Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman, Minister of International Cooperation Nagla Al-Ahwani, and Minister of Transportation Hany Dahi, form part of the delegation.

The visit included meetings with major French companies and investors, scheduled to tackle economic issues. The Egyptian ministers also held joint sessions of bilateral talks with their French counterparts.

Mehleb noted that Egypt is carrying out several economic, administrative and structural reforms, to attract more investments to Egypt. He added that Egypt and France can take advantage of the bilateral relations through expanding current businesses operating in Egypt.
