Egypt’s ITIDA, global IDC agree to increase IT investments

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the International Data Corporation (IDC) signed on Thursday 21/08/2014 three cooperation protocols to lure more direct investments in the information technology domain.

As per the first agreement, titled "Together to Africa", ITIDA will launch a special program aiming at helping local IT companies in Egypt to create cooperation opportunities in the African markets, Communications and Information Technology Minister Atef Helmi said during the signing ceremony.

The second agreement provides for organizing IDC's "North Africa and Levant CIO Forum in Cairo, the minister added.
