Egyptian envoy praises UAE’s support
Ehab Hamouda, Egyptian Ambassador to the UAE, stressed the UAE’s limitless support for Egypt’s 30th June revolution, which has contributed effectively to strengthening the capacity of the state to tackle foreign and internal challenges, especially terrorism.
Speaking at a press conference at the Egyptian Embassy here on Tuesday, Hamouda said, “I’m proud to represent Egypt in the UAE, a country that has become a role model for development in a record time,” citing its wise policies that made it an active player in regional and international issues.
He added that UAE-Egypt relations were experiencing a critical moment as they tackle the terrorism that aims to destabilise the region.
The Egyptian envoy said the UAE was the first to sign the framework agreement, whereby it pledged $4.9 billion (Dh17.99 billion) to support Egypt, noting that the Arab investments would bail out Egypt from its economic difficulties.
