Efforts to improve internet services after escalated complaints: source

Cell phone operators are working to improve their services and upgrading networks after many subscribers complained of the low quality of internet services, an official told Youm7 Wednesday.

The source also noted a remarkable improvement in the past few days in the areas that suffered from bad services.

Last week, the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) met with representatives of cell phone operators and internet providers, urging them to improve internet services on the short term.

Sources at mobile phone operators credited the low-level of service to the infrastructure being monopolized by the 80-percent-state-owned fixed-line operator Telecom Egypt.
