Mobile operators ask CBE to boost cash transfers
Vodafone, Mobinil and Etisalat, have given the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) suggestions on ways to improve mobile cash transfer services, according to the Daily News. The operators aim to increase demand for cash transfer services, which were affected by the political turmoil. Etisalat spokesperson Mohamed Kamal said that one of the suggestions was to make it possible for customers of different operators to transfer money to one another. Kamal added that another suggestion was to allow for international transfers. Another proposal was to increase awareness about the security of the service.
