Investment in Egypt
Gains have been seen in all but a few of Bloomberg’s EGX 30 indices, led by the real estate index. Substantial gains in the banks, basic resources and food and beverage indices bode well for the investment climate within Egypt. The caveat remains with the EGX 30 Travel & Leisure Index which over the past three months has gained only 5.6%, but year-to-date is up close to 30%.
