With Intel Teach launching in 2002 and Intel Learn in 2005, Egyptian teachers have benefited from a competition to provide a platform to improve education. This improvement comes from the use of technology and modern teaching methods being incorporated in a program that is submitted into the competition for evaluation.
Intel Teach has trained ten million teachers worldwide, 450,000 Egyptian teachers included, while Intel Learn has trained over 150,000 Egyptian students.

This year, the competition surrounded the education of Egypt and how it could be improved. After submissions of 382 projects, the winners were chosen and announced in Cairo. Six categories were used to decide the winners: Best Educational Project, Technologically Ideal Teacher, Best IT-Ready Directorate, Best IT-Ready School, Best IT-Ready Trainer, Best IT-Ready Inspector, and Best Technology Development Center.

Intel’s Country Manager said of the program, “Every country aims for economic and social growth and education is a key foundation to achieve such growth.” Intel Teach focuses on professional development, use of technology in lessons, and promoting student skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
