Egypt public banks and stock exchange to close for revolution anniversary

Egypt's public banks will be closed on Wednesday 25 January to mark the anniversary of the start of the country's revolution, the Central Bank said in a statement on Sunday.

Banks will resume operations on Thursday morning, the central bank added.

Egypt's stock exchange will also be closed on 25 January, Bourse officials cited by local media announced last week.
