Egyptian trade team in Doha talks

A delegation representing the Ministry of Business and Trade held a meeting here yesterday with a delegation of Egyptian businessmen, who are currently visiting Doha and discussed means of strengthening investment and trade relations between the two sides.

Assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Business and Trade Mohamed Hassan al-Saadi, said that Qatar is interested in supporting the Egyptian economy through investments, something that he believes will help achieve sustainable growth in Egypt.

Al-Saadi stressed the importance of similar investments in reshaping the lives of citizens and providing job opportunities to more people.
He also underlined the importance of co-operation between both sides through efforts on the official fronts as well as partnerships in the business sector.

He said Qatar has been able to achieve unprecedented growth levels that grabbed the attention of the world. It also made Qatar one of the leading ten economies in the world.
The vice-president of the Egyptian Investors Union, Moharam As-Seba’i Hilal, called on Qatari businessmen to invest in Egypt because it has a strong labour force, strong market and suitable environment for investment.

He also made a presentation showing investment opportunities available in Egypt.
