Alef Bookstore to mourn Egypt martyrs

The management at Alef Bookstore has decided to halt all cultural events, book signings and workshops at its Heliopolis and Zamalek branches as a mark of respect for all those who lost their lives during protests against the police this past week.

Wael Abdullah, events coordinator for Alef, said that the move is intended as a way of mourning the deaths of the martyrs who fell victim to violence in Tahrir Square.
