Vodafone Egypt adds 1.4 mln subscribers in Q3

Vodafone Egypt added a net 1.429 million new subscribers in the quarter, for a total 35.535 million at the end of September.

Vodafone Egypt reported revenues of EGP 3.158 billion for its fiscal second quarter to 30 September, up 6.3 percent from fiscal Q1. Net profit fell 4 percent over the same period to EGP 498 million.

The results were reported by Telecom Egypt, which co-owns the mobile operator with Vodafone. Vodafone Egypt added a net 1.429 million new subscribers in the quarter, for a total 35.535 million at the end of September.

Its voice traffic rose to 19.08 billion minutes, from 18.36 billion in the previous quarter. Capex was up 55 percent sequentially to EGP 362 million.
