Electricity Minister: Qualifying cadres in managing power grids in Africa
Minister of Electricity and Energy Hassan Younis said that establishing systems and databases for the energy in Africa is very important in adopting appropriate policies to support energy projects in the continent.
This came in his speech during the 3rd Conference for the establishment of information systems and database for energy in Africa that was held in Cairo.
He pointed to the contribution of the training course associated with this conference in supporting the joint cooperation between Egypt and the countries of the continent in the development and rehabilitation of cadres able to manage power grids in the Africa countries
Younis said that the Egyptian electricity sector has a database and a bank of information with a geographic information system that enabled the sector to determine the requirements for implementing more projects to produce new electricity as well as extending more networks to transport and distribution electricity to meet the requirements of development in Egypt.
