Orascom Telecom Appoints Khalid Ellaicy As CFO

Orascom Telecom Holding or OTH said it appointed Khalid Ellaicy as Chief Financial Officer or CFO. Effective October 17, 2011, Ellaicy will be succeeding Aldo Mareuse who joined OTH as Group Chief Financial Officer in 2002.

The company stated that Khalid Ellaicy brings more than 26 years of experience in the accounting and finance field. In 1995 he was promoted to partner in the KPMG Egypt practice where he specialized in the audit of Telecommunication companies. OTH also said Khalid Ellaicy later joined Mobinil for five and a half years, four of which as Chief Financial Officer. After spending some time as Group CFO of regional telecommunication company based in the Gulf, Ellaicy rejoined OTH.
