In 2013, the list of Egypt's most visited websites included several entertainment sites. However, this has changed in 2014.

Alexa Internet, an intelligent Web Navigation tool, is continuously crawling all publicly-available websites to create a series of snapshots of the web.

Alexa has a list of the most visited sites all over the world, but one can also sort them by country and category.

Here are the most visited websites in Egypt as of the end of 2014:

1. Facebook.com

The famous search engine specialized in Egyptian-based search results.

3. Youtube.com
YouTube is a way to get your videos to the people who matter to you. Upload, tag and share your videos worldwide.

Enables users to search the world’s information, including webpages, images, and videos. Offers unique features and search technology.

5. Youm7.com
The first daily electronic journal in Egypt with a weekly printed copy.

A major internet portal and service provider offering search results, customizable content, chatrooms, free e-mail, clubs, and pager.

7. Vetogate.com
Vetogate is an Arabic news portal with local and international news.

8. Blogspot.com
Free, automated weblog publishing tool that sends updates to a site via FTP.

9. Albawabhnews.com
Albawabh News is an Arabic news portal with local and international news.
