Almost 700,000 trainees are certified in ICDL Egypt

UNESCO, ECDL, and MCIT got together to grant one million Egyptian citizens the ICDL certificate and eradicate IT illiteracy.

A total of 681,263 candidates have been certified so far in ICDL Egypt program.

The project, carried out cooperatively among MCIT, the United Nations Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and European Computer Driving License (ECDL) Foundation, aims at granting one million Egyptian citizens the ICDL certificate.

Another purpose is to eradicate the IT illiteracy of all age groups and social segments, which in turn helps maximize the productivity of all employees utilizing computers in different fields.

Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Ministry of State for Administrative Development have also contributed to the project's executive process.

ICDL is an internationally accredited certificate issued by the UNESCO. More than 144 countries across the globe acknowledge ICDL tests. The certificate is an international indicator for quality assurance and assessment of the competencies and skills of end beneficiaries.
