Telecom Egypt to launch EG-IX internet traffic center

Telecom Egypt is to launch its first EG-IX internet traffic exchange center. The project will be in cooperation with AMS-IX to enhance the experience of internet for users in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa and will be run by IX-as-a-service technology.
The traffic exchange center will be hosted in the regional data center of Telecom Egypt, the biggest international center of its kind in Egypt. The center is connected to 14 submarine connection cable systems, planned to become 25 within the next 3 years.
