Egypt working to attract Thai investors
Hala El-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, held a meeting with Thai Ambassador in Cairo Puttaporn Ewtoksan to discuss ways of attracting Thai investors to Egypt.
Ewtoksan expressed his admiration to reforms made in the Egyptian economy and his wish to enhance economic cooperation between the 2 countries. He added that the environment in Egypt is promising and that Thai investors would be very interested to pump money in the agricultural and solar power sectors.
On her part, El-Saeed showcased the progress that Egypt made in its economic reform, as well as the measures taken by the government to safeguard the economy from the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic and support the vulnerable sectors. She also highlighted the direction of the Egyptian government to prioritize green economy and investments in it.
